Isles' YouthBuild Institute (IYI), in partnership with the Princeton-Blairstown Center, will enhance its established program of providing educational, vocational and transitional services to disadvantaged youth in Trenton by provides approximately 200 at-risk male students from Trenton ages 16 to 24 with a social and emotional learning curriculum. This social and emotional component will afford these students the opportunity to develop skills to positively express emotions, regulate strong feelings, set goals, and problem solve; skills needed to succeed in families, peer social groups, schools and workplaces. |

Trenton Latino Health Literacy Partnership (TLHLP) |

Description:
|
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Trenton will hire a literacy coordinator to focus on embedding health literacy objectives and learning activities into its current Adult Basic Education, General Educational Development and English as a Second Language programs. Program will focus on the Latino immigrant population in Trenton's South Ward. Services will be provided at Catholic Charities' El Centro de Recursos para Familia, a grassroots, multi-service neighborhood center. Program partners include Capital Health System, WE Care, MD, Mercer County Community College, The College of New Jersey, Rider University and Princeton University. |

Integrating Dating Violence Prevention into the School Day: A Multi-County Approach |

Description:
|
To educate adolescents on establishing healthy relationships and address the issue of teen dating violence, Princeton Center for Leadership Training (PCLT) will partner with seven high schools in six New Jersey counties to implement the Safe Dates program. Safe Dates will be integrated into the regularly scheduled academic programming in the following schools: Franklin High School (Somerset County), Haddon Heights High School (Camden County), Hunterdon Central Regional High School (Hunterdon County), Kearny High School (Hudson County), Middlesex High School (Middlesex County), North Hunterdon Regional High School (Hunterdon County), and Trenton School-Based Youth Services Program at Trenton Central High School (Mercer County). |

The Unheard Voice: Addressing Violence Against Women with Disabilities |

Description:

Agencies that provide healthcare to women are being trained to increase their ability to recognize violence and abuse perpetrated against women with disabilities and to provide appropriate and sensitive support/services to them. Women with disabilities are provided the skills and knowledge necessary to respond to threats of violence. |
