About NJHI Programs
In 2003, the New Jersey Health Initiatives program (NJHI) of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation awarded nine grants under the NJHI Workforce Agenda addressing shortages in two critical segments of the health care workforce: registered nurses in the hospital setting and paraprofessionals in long-term care institutions and home health care settings. The site also provides updates on other key issues such as the health needs of immigrant and refugee children, school drug testing, children’s health insurance, school lunches, HPV vaccinations, eating disorders, and scoliosis screening.
