Change the Story, Change the World

Stories are intrinsic to decision-making and shape our view of the world. In this three-hour webinar led by Kirsten Farrell and Andy Goodman of the renowned Goodman Center, participants will learn why storytelling remains the single most powerful communication tool, and specific ways your organization, coalition and community can use stories to advance your mission. This session is for any team member or coalition partner with communications or organizational oversight to embrace the concept of organizational storytelling.

- Why Must We Tell Stories? Learn how stories help us remember and influence how we think and behave.
- How Do You Tell a Memorable and Persuasive Story? Discover the architecture and qualities of compelling stories and understand the difference between stories that inform quickly and concisely and stories that engage and motivate.
- What Kinds of Stories Should Your Organization Tell? Understand the categories of stories you should be telling as part of your day-to-day work.
Format:
- One three-hour session.
- The session will be recorded.
- All participants receive a copy of the booklet “Storytelling as Best Practice” at the conclusion of the session.
- Participants will receive a pre-work assignment prior to the session.
