Embrace You Community Festival in Trenton
On Saturday, July 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the MLK Elementary School in Trenton, join Trenton’s next generation of community leaders for the Embrace You community festival celebrating mental health and promote resilience. As part of their work to build a healthier Trenton, a team of local youth decided to host this event to bring their city together and help diminish the negative stigma that surrounds the topic of suicide and mental illness. The festival agenda features Kimme Carlos, Executive Director and Founder of the Urban Mental Health Alliance, in addition to dance and music performances, outdoor activities, arts and crafts, poems and more.
Our team’s wish for this festival is to help those struggling with mental illness to know that they can get help and talk about it.
