Lessons learned from the five NJHI New Paths to Professional Nursing grantees will inform a larger statewide discussion on how healthcare and academic institutions can better support the success of a healthcare paraprofessional to BSN pathway.

Keynote topic: Retention Strategies for Diverse Students
Keynote presenter: Dr. Ebbon Dotson, Assistant Professor, Department of Health Management and Policy
                                                              University of Michigan School of Public Health

Before joining UM SPH, Dr. Dotson served as the Assistant Dean of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and an Assistant Professor in Community Health Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health. Dr. Dotson is engaged in research that helps support the business case for leadership diversity within organizations. His most recent research projects include a Health Professions Pathways project and a study on faculty diversity in health management educational programs.
