Community Foundation of South Jersey Announces Transform South Jersey Funding Opportunity
The Community Foundation of South Jersey is looking to support up to five South Jersey communities in applying to become a Transform South Jersey Heart & Soul Community. Community Heart & Soul is a model that strengthens the social, cultural and economic vibrancy of communities by empowering residents to inform community development and shape the future based on what matters most to them. Participation in one of eight local Community Heart & Soul workshops is required to submit a letter of interest.
Each award includes up to $100,000 in funding over two years to support a full-scale Heart & Soul project, exclusive training, technical assistance and coaching from the Community Foundation of South Jersey and the Orton Family Foundation; and support in establishing and building a locally controlled community endowed fund responsive to the strategies developed through the Heart & Soul process.
Letters of interest will be due on October 8, 2019. To learn more about this opportunity, eligibility requirements, and how to sign up for a local Community Heart & Soul workshop, visit: www.transformsouthjersey.org.
Transform South Jersey is made possible with generous support from: New Jersey Health Initiatives (the statewide grantmaking program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation), the OceanFirst Foundation, the Orton Family Foundation, and the Wells Fargo Regional Community Development Corporation.
