2018 County Health Rankings Released

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin’s Population Health Institute have released the ninth annual County Health Rankings, which show how where we live matters to how well and how long we live. An easy-to-use snapshot that compares counties within each state, the Rankings provide information on factors that communities can do something about – such as jobs, education, housing, community safety and more. New for 2018, the County Health Rankings’ enhanced State Reports call attention to the nature of differences in opportunity and health, offer strategies to increase opportunities for health and equity, and provide examples of communities taking action to impact health. Additionally, for the first time, the County Health Rankings county snapshots are available in Spanish. To see the Spanish snapshot, select the “Español” button in the top right corner of the chosen county’s snapshot, or at the end of the list of counties on the left.
