Partnering with the Neighborhood Health Services Corporation’s Elizabeth Port Community Health Center (E-Port), a provider of refugee health screenings, International Rescue Committee NJ educates and orients newly arrived refugees to the healthcare system in Union County and provides comprehensive health literacy education to refugees and healthcare providers. A full-time health educator leads an intensive, culturally-sensitive health orientation that covers preventive health topics and facilitates healthcare access.
