Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Trenton has a dedicated literacy coordinator focusing on embedding health literacy objectives and learning activities into its current Adult Basic Education, General Educational Development and English as a Second Language programs. Program focuses on the Latino immigrant population in Trenton’s South Ward. Services are provided at Catholic Charities’ El Centro de Recursos para Familia, a grassroots, multi-service neighborhood center. Program partners include Capital Health System, WE Care, MD, Mercer County Community College, The College of New Jersey, Rider University and Princeton University.
