Bringing it ‘All in! for the New School Year!

NJHI 2020: Small Communities Forging Hyperlocal Data Collaboratives Pleasantville “All In!”

Where has the summer gone? It is hard to believe that September is here. The Pleasantville ‘All In!’ collaborative is gearing up for the new school year! We plan to work more closely with Pleasantville Public Schools this year to support positive outcomes for our students. In the next few weeks, our SAT/ACT prep classes will begin as a support for students who intend to take the fall SAT/ACT exams.

As a follow up to our June blog post, those who participated in the career fair in May applied for jobs at AtlantiCare! AtlantiCare’s Human Resources team presented a great overview of job possibilities and were so welcoming. We learned that not everyone understands the variety of job opportunities available within a healthcare system, and that insight will inform our planning for future events.  Throughout this academic year, we intend to hold more job fairs that feature a wide range of local employers.

We look forward to sharing more about Pleasantville ‘All In!’ and our collaborative work in our next update. Reach out to our project director to share your ideas about building a healthier community.
